There are four main airports in Cape Verde that operate with international flights. These are on the islands of Santiago, Sal, Boa Vista and São Vicente. The other islands are then reached using internal fights operated by Binter CV or ferry – see Domestic Travel.
On arrival at any airport from outside Cape Verde, you will need to purchase a VISA at a cost of €25. If you do not already have a Visa you should join the VISA queue and not the passport queue. Some travel companies provide the Visa as part of their package. If on arrival passport control cannot find your name on their list, you will then have to pay the €25. You should keep your receipt in order to reclaim your money at the end of the holiday.
